Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure fiscal health and transparency.
- Translate complex financial data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure financial strategies align with patient care goals, fostering sustainable growth.
- Oversee revenue cycle management, including billing, reimbursement, and collections, with a strong emphasis on Medicare and Medicaid processes.
- Ensure compliance with hospice regulations and maintain adherence to financial standards.
- Identify and implement opportunities for growth, efficiency, and innovation in financial processes and strategies.
- Manage audits, tax filings, and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the organization's financial integrity.
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team capable of driving the company's mission forward.
- Evaluate the financial implications of new service lines, partnerships, and expansion opportunities.
- Encourage and implement fresh ideas and innovations, such as automation and tech adoption, within the financial systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with a background in hospice, healthcare, or regulated industries.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare hospice reimbursement and compliance is essential.
- Proven track record in financial strategy, growth planning, and operational improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and build robust financial infrastructure.
- Experience in a startup or high-growth healthcare environment is advantageous.
- Proficiency with financial technology, dashboards, and automation tools.
- Exceptional communication skills, particularly in explaining financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
