As a Airport Security Professional in Lihue HI you will safeguard the airport staff and its facilities. Along with driving patrolling checking and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. The premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee .

Job Schedule:

Day Time

02:00 PM - 11:00 PM

02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Requirements:

• Valid Drivers License (1 years)
• 21 years of age
• Ability to pass a background check physical and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner while following applicable post orders and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals public areas parking locations restricted access points and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit activity observe traveler and visitor interactions and report suspicious behavior unattended items and/or unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
• Support government location operations by documenting incidents communicating with site contacts and/or first responders and assisting with access control and traffic or pedestrian direction as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
