Congregation Dor Tamid, a Reform Jewish congregation in Johns Creek, Georgia, serving the North Metro Atlanta suburbs, is seeking a Religious School Principal. The 250-family congregation enrolls approximately 100 students in its Pre-K through 10th grade religious school. As a member of the congregation’s leadership, the Principal will report directly to the Executive Director and work closely and collaboratively with the Rabbi and Education Committee to design, administer, direct, and supervise the religious school and its related programs.
The Principal is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and leadership of the religious school. The individual manages the school, including recruiting, hiring, and supervising teachers, staff, and madrichim (teenaged teacher aids), and works on the development and implementation of curriculum and policy. The Principal works with the VP of Finance and the Finance Committee to work within the annual budget of the Education program. The individual is also responsible for ordering and maintaining books and supplies for the religious school.
The Principal should be comfortable interacting and working with a wide range of individuals, both in the school and the greater community, as a representative of Congregation Dor Tamid and the Religious School to create a positive Jewish experience for the students and families.

Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work collaboratively with the Rabbi, Cantorial Soloist, Executive Director, CDT Board and committees, religious school families, and the entire CDT community.
Prior supervisory experience.
Models Jewish values and has a keen understanding of Judaism and the Reform Movement.
Knowledge of Hebrew.
Bachelors degree is required and a degree in Education or Judaic Studies preferred.
Salary commensurate with experience based on an average of 25 hours/week.
