Job Title: Assembler – Medical Device Manufacturing (Temecula)

Job Description

This role is responsible for assembling and producing high-quality cardiovascular medical devices within a manufacturing cell. You will perform detailed assembly tasks, operate various equipment and machinery according to documented procedures, and work in a controlled cleanroom environment to ensure products meet strict quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble cardiovascular medical devices and related components according to documented procedures and work instructions.
  • Perform detailed electronic assembly, mechanical assembly, casting and coating functions, and packaging as required.
  • Operate various equipment and machinery, including computerized test equipment, in accordance with standardized procedures.
  • Use microscopes, hand tools, razor blades, syringes, soldering tools, and adhesive bonding techniques to complete precision assembly tasks.
  • Perform routine assignments following specified and standardized processes while adhering to quality and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct visual inspections and precision measurements on components and assemblies to verify quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Perform tests on units using computerized test equipment and document results accurately.
  • Repair and correct devices and components using microscopes and applicable tools to ensure products meet quality requirements.
  • Package devices, ensuring all parts are accurate, correctly labeled, and that all documentation is complete and compliant.
  • Maintain accurate records so that travelers, shop floor paperwork, and quality documents are complete, traceable, and up to date.
  • Ensure all parts and components are traceable and that any quality issues can be identified and addressed promptly.
  • Clean tools, equipment, and work areas according to documented procedures to maintain a clean and controlled environment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate safety devices and equipment when performing operations in the cleanroom and manufacturing areas.
  • Work closely with team members within the manufacturing cell and accept continual review and feedback to maintain high standards.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic English skills for reading, writing, and following documented procedures.
  • Experience with assembly or operator roles in a production environment.
  • Ability to perform detailed, repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Capability to work in a controlled cleanroom environment while following strict procedures.
  • Comfort using microscopes and precision tools for small-component assembly and inspection.
  • Ability to follow standardized work instructions and quality guidelines consistently.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for operating production and testing equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in medical device assembly or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with machine operation in a production setting.
  • Experience with food service or other fast-paced, process-driven environments that require attention to cleanliness and procedure.
  • Ability to perform soldering and adhesive bonding tasks or willingness to learn these techniques.
  • Strong record-keeping skills to maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Comfort working with small parts and performing precision measurements under magnification.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing and cleanroom environment focused on medical device production. You will work within a manufacturing cell, frequently using microscopes, hand tools, syringes, soldering tools, adhesive bonding equipment, and computerized test equipment. The environment follows strict cleanliness, safety, and quality protocols, and work is closely supervised and continually reviewed to ensure compliance with documented procedures. The dress code supports a professional, businesslike image: clothing must be clean and appropriate, and garments with suggestive or derogatory language, images, or slogans are not allowed. Exposed or revealing clothing, dirty or stained clothing, pajama pants, and bedroom shoes or house slippers are not permitted. Jeans are acceptable when they are clean, free of rips, holes, or stains, and consistent with global gowning procedures. In the cleanroom, additional appearance standards apply, including no makeup, no false eyelashes or eyelash extensions, and no jewelry, to maintain product safety and contamination control.

Additional Information:

Regardless of shift, the first day of work is always orientation from 7am-1:30pm.

1st Shift: 5am or 6am to 1:30pm or 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, frequent mandatory Saturdays

2nd Shift: 2pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday, frequent mandatory Saturdays, must be able to train on 1st shift for 6-8 weeks

Must be available for mandatory Overtime on the back end of the shift.

**There is a possibility that some candidates will be moved to a 9/80 shift after training based on current need.**

Operator I: 6 months of manufacturing experience needed

Operator II: 3-4 years of manufacturing experience

Operator III: 5+ years of manufacturing experience

1st Shift:

Operator I : Pay is $19.25/hr

Operator II: Pay is $20.00/hr

Operator III: Pay is $20.75/hr

2nd Shift:

Operator I : Pay is $21.18/hr

Operator II: Pay is $22.00/hr

Operator III: Pay is $22.83/hr

This is a Contract position based out of Temecula, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $22.83/hr.
