Job Description

Salary: $86,900 - 203,800 per year Requirements:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, and App Engine
  • Proficiency in BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow
  • Familiarity with Pub/Sub and Cloud Functions
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, including VPC, VPN, Interconnect, and DNS
  • Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or Deployment Manager
  • Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures and containerized workloads
  • Proven capability in crafting cloud-native and hybrid solutions
  • Expertise in cloud migration strategies for data and workloads
  • Migration experience to Google Cloud Platform, including creating blueprints and best practices
  • Knowledge of Data Governance and industry regulations
  • In-depth knowledge of core Google Cloud services like IAM, GKE, cloud Storage, and Networking
  • Practical knowledge of IaaC builds using Terraform and DevOps principles
  • Google Cloud Platform certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Data Engineer) are preferred
  • Familiarity with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures is a plus
  • Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Jenkins or GitOps
  • Knowledge of AI/ML services on Google Cloud Platform, such as Vertex AI and AutoML
  • Security certifications like CCSP or CISSP are advantageous
Responsibilities:
  • Develop cloud architecture solutions utilizing Google Cloud Platform services, such as Compute Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, and Kubernetes Engine
  • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable and secure cloud architectures
  • Define architectural blueprints, best practices, and cloud deployment standards
  • Evaluate existing systems and workloads to formulate cloud migration strategies
  • Create migration plans for applications, data, and infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform
  • Optimize resource use during migration to minimize downtime and maximize cost efficiency
  • Lead the configuration and setup of Google Cloud Platform environments, including VPCs, IAM policies, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and deployment manager
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines and orchestrate containers
  • Monitor and refine cloud resource usage for optimal performance and cost savings
  • Develop solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, and auto-scaling
  • Utilize tools like Stackdriver for observability, logging, and monitoring
  • Design cloud architectures with a strong emphasis on security and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
  • Implement IAM best practices including data protection, encryption, and secure networking configurations
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and product teams to align cloud architecture with business objectives
  • Conduct architectural reviews, present proposals, and lead discussions with stakeholders
  • Mentor and guide team members in Google Cloud best practices and emerging technologies
