The Patch Boys is Hiring a Drywall Repair Technician!

Location : Austin, TX (West & Central Austin)
Schedule : Monday–Friday (Optional Saturdays)
Employment Type : 1099 Independent Contractor
Compensation : $50,000/year after 3–6 month probationary period

Overview

We are looking for a skilled Drywall Repair Technician to join our team in Austin. This role exists because we are committed to providing top-tier, efficient wall repair services to homeowners and businesses.

If you are a craftsman who takes pride in making a wall look like a patch was never there, you will fit right in. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, offering the independence to manage your workflow while being supported by a professional, organized team.

Responsibilities

• Execute drywall hanging, patching, and finishing to a high standard
• Match existing textures to ensure seamless repairs
• Perform touch-up painting and basic trim work as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional job site
• Manage your schedule and communicate effectively with team members and clients

Requirements

Must Have:

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in drywall installation, repair, and finishing
• Strong proficiency in texture matching
• Ownership of hand tools, power tools, and drywall equipment
• Reliable truck or van for transporting tools and materials
• Clean driving record
• Availability Monday through Friday (Saturdays optional)
• Willingness to complete a background check and drug screening

Nice to Have:

• Experience with remodeling-related drywall tasks
• Strong painting and trim carpentry skills
• Prior residential service or repair experience
